Puppet Building Workshops

The Fort Sackville Region of the Anglican Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island is sponsoring a young puppeteers troop, aged 10 to 17. All are welcome.

Interested? Talk to your Youth Group or Sunday School co-ordinator to book a free puppet-building workshop at your church.

It takes three hours to build a small puppet. This is best done in two 1 1/2 hour sessions. A third workshop is recommended to help the puppeteers practice puppet movement and acting.

Journey with a puppet!

While we build some puppets we will brainstorm some ways to share our puppets and our church with our community. Fundraisers, parade floats, skits and children’s presentations are just some of the possibilities.

Your puppet resource person:

Catharine Tutton is a designer, artist and former Sunday School teacher. She has given puppet making workshops at the Alderney Landing Theater Art summer camp for four years.
